About HurricaneTracker.ai
HurricaneTracker.ai is a free, mobile-first Atlantic hurricane tracking site built for homeowners, renters, boaters, and vacation rental operators from Texas to the Carolinas. It presents official NOAA and National Hurricane Center data and Windy.com maps in plain English, and its main product is a free SMS storm alert list.
The site exists because most people in a hurricane zone want to know one thing: is this storm coming toward me, and what do I do. Forecast discussions are written for meteorologists. This site translates them into short, direct sentences anyone can act on, and links out to the official NHC products for the details.
HurricaneTracker.ai is not a forecasting authority. It does not issue its own forecasts, tracks, or warnings. Every forecast on this site comes from the National Hurricane Center, and every evacuation order comes from your local emergency management office. Always follow official guidance from the NHC and your local officials, not from a website.
The site is light and fast on purpose. Many visitors will be on a phone with a weak signal during a storm, so pages are designed to load quickly and stay readable at 375 pixels wide.
